J546/2574 -- Hershey Auction 2007

Duesenberg HomeDUESENBERG HOME

According to the information card at the 2007 "Hershey Auction," this car had had five owners.  Mr. Shirley Burden purchased the chassis only and mounted the Rollston body1. He sold it to George Arents, who sold it to Robert Gottlieb.  According to the Duesenberg Registry, Gottlieb sold it to the Imperial Palace Collection in 1988. They restored it, and had it painted silver so that it would look similar to "The Twenty Grand." Dean Kruse acquired it in November 1999 when the Imperial Palace Collection was broken up. It was sold at Hershey for $962,500 after buyer's premium.
